  1. go to the german forum, you’ll find websites that will help and maybe some teachers to teach you

or you could just go to Yahoo answers germany and ask a question

  2. Join a local German group where you can practice speaking with other German speaking people.

  3. If you go to the library a good beginners tape or cd is Pimsleur. You can listen to it in your car on the way to work or anywhere. It is free if you get it from your library. The phrases were ingrained in my head from so much repetition.

    Here is there website:

There are also podcasts on the net that you can listen to.

And here is a cool site (BBC) that covers german and other languages…

You can also check your local community college for non-credit classes that are usually cheaper.

You could also try to practice with your friends. See if they could teach you anything, since they already know it.

    Useful sites:

  4. go to Germany and live for over 20 years.
