Hello! I was asked to give private Spanish lessons to an undergraduate student. I am a Spanish native speaker, studying a PhD, but I don’t have experience in language teaching. I’ve done some teaching in my field of work, but that’s all. Can anyone tell me approximately how much should I charge per hour given this situation?
I am based in Manchester, so I don’t know approximately how much this lessons cost in England!

How does $10 per hour sound? You have to think what he will be able to afford too. otherwise it won’t matter what you charge if he can’t pay.
i used to teach maths and charged £20 an hour
The going rate for private tuition (except in London) is £20.00 per hour.
I tutor my friend in Spanish and I get paid $10 an hour.
