Is It Essential To Learn French

French is spoken in more countries than you might think. There are over thirty countries that speak French as their official language. With so many countries speaking the French language, Is it essential to learn to speak French.
With the English language becoming more and more dominant as the preferred language or maybe I should say, the preferred second language in non-English speaking countries. The reasons to speak another language maybe becoming blurred.
Why would you want to learn to speak French when most French people speak English? Well I am not sure that most French people do speak English. Okay they might know a few words, just like English-speaking people know a few words of French but that
