Should I Buy Pimsleurs Japanese Instant Conversation?

I want to learn how to speak Japanese and I have seen the Pimsleurs Japanese Conversation course and it seems very reasonably priced at $49.95, will this course teach me to speak Japanese or should I go for another course?

The Pimsleur Japanese Conversational Course is a starter course that will help you to speak the Japanese language but not necessarily understand it. It comes with 16 lessons and the idea with this course is you listen and respond using conversational lessons. It will certainly give you a start, and if you’re interested after finishing this short course you maybe go on to the more advanced courses, but don’t expect to be fluent in Japanese for that kind of money.
If you are serious about learning Japanese you will need the more comprehensive courses such as Pimsleur Japanese Comprehensive 1, 2 and 3 courses which cost a little over $200 each or you can go for the Rocket Japanese which cost $99.95 for the download version of this Japanese course.
It’s all about how much you personally want to spend, have a look at the different courses I’ve mentioned above and decide for yourself.
